0:00This is the 2026 ROG Zephyrus Duo, and
0:03yes, it is a gaming laptop on steroids.
0:06If it isn’t obvious, this guy has a
0:08second screen, and even better, it’s
0:10packing top-of-the-line hardware with
0:11Intel Core Ultra 9 processor paired with
0:14RTX 5090 GPU. With this level of power,
0:17you can pretty much do it all. Stuff
0:18like AAA gaming and streaming, content
0:21creation, and even coding, this laptop
0:23can absolutely handle everything you
0:25throw at it. That said, we’re going to
0:27do a rundown on some of our favorite
0:28features of the ROG Zephyrus Duo so far.
0:31I’m your host Earl, let’s get right into
0:33the video.
0:36>> [music]
0:36>> Right off the bat, let’s talk about that
0:38gorgeous dual OLED display. Not going to
0:40lie, this one is massive. Rocking two
0:43identical 16-in ROG Nebula HDR OLED
0:46panels. These are touchscreen panels, of
0:48course, that have a sharp 3K resolution,
0:51a smooth refresh rate of 120 Hz, and up
0:53to 1,100 nits of peak brightness. It
0:56uses a 16 by 10 aspect ratio for that
0:58larger screen space. [music] It’s
1:00Pantone validated and has 100% full
1:02coverage of DCI-P3 color gamut, as well
1:05as Dolby Vision, in which content
1:07creators can really appreciate. That
1:09includes us. That said, everything looks
1:11sharp and vibrant with deep true blacks.
1:13Whatever you’re watching or playing,
1:15these OLED displays deliver. One thing I
1:18really like is that both screens have
1:20anti-glare coating, reducing those pesky
1:22reflections, useful for when you’re
1:24working outdoors. Not to mention,
1:26artists aren’t missing out. They can
1:27make use of the touchscreen for drawing,
1:29too. The laptop supports ASUS Pen 3.0,
1:32included in free bundles, offering tilt
1:34and a wide level of pressure
1:35sensitivity. Now, in terms of audio
1:37quality, just like with other Zephyrus
1:39laptops we’ve experienced, the audio
1:41quality did not disappoint. It features
1:43a six-speaker setup with two tweeters
1:46mounted near the hinge and Dolby Atmos
1:48support. You get plenty of bass [music]
1:50and crisp highs and mids. The audio is
1:52definitely loud and can easily fill a
1:54room, making the listening experience
1:56even more immersive. The next big thing
1:58about the 2026 ROG Zephyrus Duo is it
2:01delivers the best of the best laptop
2:03performance yet. Under the hood, our
2:05unit is powered by the latest Intel Core
2:07Ultra 9 with 16 cores and 16 threads and
2:0964 gig of RAM. It comes with a discrete
2:12GPU as it should, packing RTX 5090 with
2:15an insane 24 gig graphic memory.
2:17Notably, it comes with a total graphics
2:19power of up to 150 watts, which is
2:22definitely high enough for that
2:23sustained load in gaming and creative
2:25apps. Doing different workflows on this
2:27laptop is a breeze. Games load quickly
2:29and creative apps like Premiere Pro open
2:32significantly faster than what we are
2:34used to. Whatever games we threw at it,
2:36the ROG Zephyrus Duo nailed all of them,
2:38delivering high frame rates consistently
2:40throughout our gaming sessions. We
2:41played titles like Hogwarts Legacy and
2:44Red Dead Redemption 2 and they ran
2:46flawlessly even at higher graphic
2:47setting. Editing a video has also been a
2:49really satisfying experience. The
2:51preview playback on a 4K project is the
2:54smoothest I’ve seen and rendering times
2:56are significantly fast. Take note, we
2:58can also do these things even if the
3:00laptop isn’t plugged into a wall outlet.
3:02So, that says a lot about its general
3:04performance and battery life already.
3:06We’ll talk more about the battery life
3:08in a bit. What I also like about is how
3:10silent it can go. There is this ROG
3:12intelligent cooling in which the fans
3:14run only when needed. For example, if I
3:17was only writing a script and doing
3:18research, I toggle silent mode in Armory
3:21Crate. Then the laptop would turn off
3:23all fans as long as it maintains below
3:2550° C. And speaking of thermals, it does
3:28heat up for heavy multitasking, but it’s
3:30much more bearable, mainly thanks to its
3:32form factor itself. With a dual screen
3:34mode set up, the vents themselves are
3:36elevated, therefore having a more proper
3:38ventilation. Now, dual screen mode is
3:41just one of the many setups you could do
3:43with this machine. It’s probably my
3:45favorite setup since I can watch
3:47something on one panel while editing a
3:49video or doing something else on the
3:51other. The same goes with gaming and
3:52streaming, whereas we can set up OBS
3:54separately from the main screen with the
3:56game running. It’s much easier to manage
3:58with this kind of setup without having
4:00to use an actual second monitor. Now,
4:02for programmers out there, this is the
4:04setup for you, book mode, where you turn
4:06the laptop on its side giving you more
4:08vertical space to work with. Next, we
4:10have sharing mode, which I think is
4:12great for showing presentations or
4:14showing live edits on the go. The ASUS
4:16Pen 3.0 is also useful just in case you
4:18need someone to sign a document or
4:20something. For gamers out there, tent
4:23mode may get your attention. Of course,
4:25aside from another way of doing
4:26presentations, you can actually play
4:28co-op games using this setup. And
4:30finally, there’s the traditional laptop
4:33mode that works best for most of us.
4:35Honestly, it doesn’t feel weird using it
4:37like this. There aren’t any strange
4:38design quirks since it very much looks
4:40like your regular laptop, which we’ll
4:42focus on next. Design-wise, the ROG
4:45Zephyrus Duo slaps. It has that familiar
4:47slash lighting design that we’ve seen
4:49from previous Zephyrus models before.
4:51With that, I think they’re going for a
4:53more recognizable look instead of a
4:55radical design change, and it works, at
4:57least for me. Our unit is in the Stellar
5:00Gray color, sporting a matte finish all
5:02around. And the materials used here are
5:04quite resistant to smudges. Build
5:06quality feels solid with aluminum
5:08chassis and top lid. And there’s
5:10virtually no flex whatsoever on the
5:12keyboard deck or the lid. Not to
5:14mention, the hinge and the kickstand are
5:16both made of magnesium aluminum
5:18material, which also feels sturdy enough
5:20to handle everyday flex. Having 16-in
5:23screens, the laptop is a bit on the
5:25hefty side, weighing around 2.8 kg.
5:27However, it’s still relatively slim,
5:29measuring 1.99 cm at its thinnest point.
5:32I also like that we get plenty of IO
5:34selection here. Facing the screen, found
5:37on the left are the DC plug, HDMI, one
5:39USB 3.2 Gen 2, a Thunderbolt 4 and power
5:42delivery combo port, and the 3.5 mm
5:45combo jack. On the right, there’s
5:47another Thunderbolt 4, another USB 3.2
5:49Gen 2, the SD card reader, and the power
5:52button. Lastly, let’s talk about battery
5:55life. Not going to lie, I can actually
5:57work on this laptop without having the
5:59so-called battery anxiety. The 2026 ROG
6:02Zephyrus Duo packs a 90 W hour battery,
6:05and when we use it for doing research,
6:07writing scripts, and watching videos on
6:09the side, it comfortably gave us about
6:1210 hours of screen on time in dual
6:14screen setup with silent mode enabled.
6:17Actually not bad considering this is a
6:19Windows laptop. For gaming and video
6:21editing, it still lasted a decent amount
6:23of time of about 4 hours. When the
6:25laptop runs low on battery, the 250 W
6:28charging brick refills the battery by
6:3050% in just half an hour. I also like
6:33the fact that it’s compatible with 100 W
6:35power delivery, so I can just use a 100
6:37W laptop power bank whenever I work on
6:40the go.
6:41So, there you have it. Those are some of
6:43our most favorite features about the
6:452026 ROG Zephyrus Duo so far. It works
6:48well like a regular laptop, and as soon
6:50as you detach the keyboard and set up
6:52dual screen mode, it instantly becomes a
6:54peak multitasking machine. If you’re
6:56someone who cares about productivity,
6:58gaming, and streaming all in one device,
7:01you can’t go wrong with the ROG Zephyrus
7:03Duo. The 2026 ROG Zephyrus Duo is now
7:06available at your nearest ASUS and ROG
7:09concept stores and authorized
7:10multi-brand stores nationwide. And you
7:12also get these bundles for free.
