DITO Telecommunity, the third major player in the Philippine telecom landscape, has secured the title of “Ookla’s Rated #1 Mobile Network” for the last two quarters of 2023. This award recognizes DITO’s commitment to delivering exceptional mobile experiences for its customers.
DITO’s CEO, Mr. Eric Alberto, and Ms. Evelyn Jimenez, Chief Revenue Officer-Consumer, proudly received the award at the Ookla booth during the 2024 Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona, Spain.
The recognition is based on data collected through Ookla’s Speedtest Intelligence platform, which prioritizes real-world user experiences over solely relying on controlled lab tests.

To determine the top-rated mobile network, Ookla considers two key factors:
(1) Network Performance: Millions of user-initiated speed tests conducted on the Speedtest website and mobile app are combined and analyzed. This reveals insights into the actual download and upload speeds users encounter.
(2) User Experience: Users are actively encouraged to rate their mobile providers on a scale of 1 to 5 stars through the “Rate your provider” feature in the Speedtest app. This additional data helps capture user satisfaction with their overall network experience.
Based on Ookla’s data from July 1 to 31, 2023, DITO garnered a 3.6 rating.
