Listen to article

DJI has just launched the Osmo Nano, a mini action camera that should attract more on-the-go shooters. The Osmo Nano has a unique two-part design, splitting the core camera module from a detachable multifunctional Vision Dock. The main camera is very lightweight at just 52 grams, while the dock adds another 72 grams for a total weight of merely 124 grams.

The Osmo Nano uses a new 1/1.3”-type CMOS sensor capable of capturing high-resolution 6880×5160 photos and 4K videos up to 60fps.

For video, slow-motion is supported at 120fps. DJI’s RockSteady 3.0 and HorizonBalancing stabilization keep footage silky smooth, while 10-bit video and D-Log M open up pro-level color grading. The camera’s impressive 13.5 stops of dynamic range offer more flexibility even under challenging lighting.

Storage and battery are integrated into the main camera (520mAh) with 64GB or 128GB options, expandable up to 1TB via microSD in the dock, giving you up to 200 minutes when docked.

The OLED touchscreen on the dock (1.96-inch, 314×556) works even when the camera is separated. For more versatility, a wide ecosystem of magnetic and wearable mounts is available.

The Osmo Nano is priced at €279 for the 64GB model and €309 for 128GB with bundles that include useful mounts and the dock.
