DOOM receives 6.66 update

DOOM received a new update across all platforms bringing substantial changes to its multiplayer and providing a few more bug fixes. Aside from this all of DOOM’s multiplayer DLC is now free and is bundled with the core game. Bethesda also cuts the games price down to $14.99 (Php 762.62) on digital platforms.

Here is a quick rundown of the changes:

  • Revised Progression System
  • New Rune System for loadouts
  • Enhanced Kill Notifications
  • Special badge for Veteran Players
  • Reset of Multiplayer progression — Veterans would have a choice of retaining their acquired or purchased guns, equipment, demons and customization options.

DOOM would also be having a Free Trial Weekend where you could play the games first two campaign levels and all of its Multiplayer and SnapMap. Any progress and unlocks made during the Free Trial Weekend would be retained should you decide to buy the Full game afterward. See schedule below:

Xbox Free Weekend:

Start: 12am CT on Thursday 07/20 — 12am, Friday 07/21 for the Philippines

End: 11pm CT on Sunday 07/23. — 12pm, Monday 07/24 for the Philippines

Steam Free Weekend

Start: 12PM CT on Thursday 7/20 — 1am, Friday 07/21 for the Philippines

End: 3PM CT on Sunday 07/23 — 4pm, Monday 07/24 for the Philippines

PS4 Free Weekend:

Start: 11am CT on Thursday 07/27 — 12am, Friday 07/28 for the Philippines

End: 11pm CT on Sunday 07/30. — 12pm, Monday 07/31 for the Philippines
