Filipino travelers will soon have a new way to pay abroad as GCash and Klook announced a new travel card, the first of its kind in Asia, set for release this December. The card is designed to help users pay in other countries with lower foreign exchange rates and no service fees, addressing a common problem for many travelers.

The GCash–Klook Travel Card is powered by Visa, allowing real-time currency conversion and letting users track their spending in pesos. It also gives access to global automated machines (ATMs), making it easier to get money during international trips.
Aside from basic features, the card comes with added perks. New users can receive vouchers for airport transfers, a Klook eSIM, and an annual hotel voucher once they activate the card. These benefits aim to give travelers more convenience before and during their trips.
Klook Philippines general manager Michelle Ho said the goal is to help Filipinos enjoy smoother travel experiences by combining Klook’s travel services with GCash’s financial tools. GCash executive Barbara Dapul added that the card lets users pay with their GCash wallet in over 200 countries, even without cash or mobile signal.
While waiting for its official launch, users can sign up for the waitlist. The first 10,000 to register can buy the card at an introductory price of ₱250.
