GCash PocketPay turns your phone into a Card Terminal

Listen to article

GCash just made it easier for small business owners to accept card payments with GCash PocketPay, a new feature that turns your phone into a credit card terminal. No need for expensive POS machines or extra devices.

With GCash PocketPay, merchants can accept card payments directly through their smartphones using NFC. It’s perfect for food stalls, pop-up shops, or online sellers who want a quick and easy way to get paid. The setup is simple, and users can enjoy zero fees until December 3, 2025.

“GCash PocketPay gives MSMEs a flexible and affordable tool to grow their business,” said Jong Layug, GCash B2B General Manager.

GCash also launched SoundPay, a portable QR payment tool with instant voice confirmation. Both features are available through the GCash for Business Portal at business.gcash.com.
