GCash waives transaction fees for OFWs in Middle East

GCash has announced a temporary waiver of transaction fees for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in several Middle East countries.

The program applies to users located in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain. It runs from March 4 to March 14, 2026.

Under the initiative, users can receive a full refund of service fees for selected GCash app services, including bank transfers to Philippine banks, mobile load purchases, and bill payments for Philippine-based billers.

Instead of removing the fee upfront, the standard service fee will first be deducted during the transaction. The same amount will then be returned to the user’s wallet through in-app cashback.

Cashback for transactions made between March 4 and March 10 will be credited on March 20, while transactions made between March 11 and March 14 will receive cashback on March 27.

The fintech platform said the measure aims to help OFWs remain connected with their families in the Philippines while reducing transaction costs during the program period.

• Benefit: 100% service fee cashback via the GCash app

• Transactions from March 11–14, 2026 → Cashback credited on March 27

Standard wallet limits and transaction caps still apply.
