Listen to article

PLDT Home is offering free international calls from the Philippines to several countries in the Middle East from March 1 to 7 to help Filipino families stay connected with loved ones abroad.

The telecom company said PLDT Home subscribers can make free International Direct Dial (IDD) calls from their landlines during the promo period. The offer aims to support families as the situation in the Middle East continues to change.

The free calls apply to the following countries and area codes:

• Bahrain (+973)
• Kuwait (+965)
• Iraq (+964)
• Oman (+968)
• Qatar (+974)
• Saudi Arabia (+966)
• United Arab Emirates (+971)
• Israel (+972)
• Iran (+98)

PLDT said the program allows families in the Philippines to check on relatives and stay updated without worrying about call costs.

How the free calls work:

To place a free international call, subscribers must dial “00” + country code + area or mobile code + phone number using their PLDT Home landline. There is no limit to the number of calls a subscriber can make each day, but each call can last up to 30 minutes.

PLDT Chairman, President, and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan shared the update on X, saying the goal is to make it easier for Filipinos to reach their loved ones and communicate during uncertain times.

The PLDT Group also activated its 24/7 Smart crisis hotline at +63288457799. Overseas Filipinos may also contact the DMW-OWWA 1348 hotline for free through PLDT Global’s TinBo app.
