Starting December 1, Globe Telecom Inc., will charge their postpaid subscribers a late payment fee.

The telecom have stated that, to prevent interruptions of services and boost on-time payments, a late fee of PHP 50 will be charged to postpaid subscribers.
“For the longest time, Globe had deferred charging the late payment fee even though this is included in the terms and conditions of our postpaid subscription agreement,” said by Globe’s VP and Head of Consumer Mobile Business Darius Delgado.
Delgado has also mentioned that less than 5% of their subscribers would be affected by this change as there are 95% more prepaid subscribers.
“This fee is not meant to burden them but to encourage them to make prompt payments for uninterrupted connectivity services. We want to veer away from the usual practice of disconnecting services over unpaid balances.” Delgado stated.

Globe Charging late payments? How about subscribers charging slow data connection to no data at all?
