Google Labs launches Whisk, a new image generation tool

Listen to article

Google Labs has launched Whisk, a tool that generates images based on prompts to help users visualize ideas.

Whisk is a new experimental tool that’s a bit akin to mix-and-match. First, it lets users make images that convey the subject, scene, and style that they have in mind. Then, these are brought together to make something unique.

Uses cases include a digital plushie, enamel pin, and stickers. Whisk combines Google’s latest Imagen 3 model with Gemini’s visual perception and description capabilities.

Under this process, Gemini automatically writes a detailed caption of your images. From there, it feeds the descriptions into Imagen 3. It easily remixes your ideas in a fun, new way with your subjects, scenes, and styles.

We should note that the tool isn’t available in the Philippines just yet. However, it should come around sooner than later. We’ll leave a video on what Whisk does below for readers to see.
