Google Pixel Buds Pro w/ active noise cancellation announced

Google has unveiled the Pixel Buds Pro designed as a direct competitor against Apple’s AirPods Pro. The Pixel Buds Pro features active noise cancellation, a transparency mode, multipoint Bluetooth connectivity, and an IPX4 water resistance rating.

Google claims that the Pixel Buds Pro can last up to seven hours of continuous use with active noise cancellation enabled and up to 11 hours when it is turned off.

The earbuds along with the case closely resemble the 2020 Pixel Buds, yet the newer Pixel Buds Pro has more microphone inlets around its exterior that is meant to sit deeper in the user’s ear canal.

Talking about comfortability, Google says that the earbuds have ‘sensors’ that “measure the pressure in your ear canal so the earbuds can actively relieve it and stay comfortable.”

Google claims that its ‘Silent Seal’ software algorithms can “adapt to your ear, maximizing the amount of noise that’s canceled.” The Pixel Buds Pro’s ear tips will come in three sizes out of the box as it should.

Similar to AirPods Pro, the Pixel Buds Pro has an ‘intelligent’ audio switching designed to automatically switch across the user’s commonly used Android devices without requiring to open any Bluetooth setting menus.

No details were mentioned on its availability to other markets.
