Google Pixel Watch 4, Pixel Buds 2a also go official

Aside from the main event, that is the Google Pixel 10 Series launch, the company also unveiled new wearables. These include the new Pixel Watch 4 and the Pixel Buds 2a.

Google Pixel Watch 4

Design-wise, the Pixel Watch 4 remains largely the same as its predecessor. It comes in two sizes: 41mm with a 1.2-inch display and 45mm with a 1.4-inch display. Both now feature a brighter AMOLED panel that peaks up to 3000 nits.

The watch features an upgraded Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chipset with enhanced location accuracy, and it runs Wear OS 6 out of the box.

Battery life sees an improvement, too. The 41mm model now comes with a 327mAh battery while the 45mm model has a 459mAh battery.

Google claims the 41mm model offers up to 30 hours of use, while the 45mm version can last up to 40 hours, even with Always-on Display (AOD) enabled.

As for fitness, the Pixel Watch 4 supports over 40 workout types and includes health features like ECG, SpO2, breathing rate, and HRV tracking. It also comes with the new “Gemini-ready” feature, allowing users to interact with Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, simply by raising their wrist.

Pixel Buds 2a

Meanwhile, the Pixel Buds 2a offer an affordable alternative to the Pixel Buds Pro 2 but still come with a few high-end features. While they lack the Pro 2’s passive Silent Seal 2.0 noise isolation, the 2a model does include active noise cancellation (ANC).

The new pair also supports spatial audio, though without head-tracking.

As for battery life, it can provide up to seven hours of playback, with the charging case extending that to 20 hours. However, unlike the Pixel Buds Pro 2, the 2a model’s case does not support wireless charging.

Price and availability

The Pixel Watch 4 is available in Obsidian, Porcelain, and Moonstone Active bands, and Indigo, Limoncello, and Iris Sport bands. Its pricing info are as follows:

  • USD 349 | 41mm, non-LTE model
  • USD 399 | 41mm, LTE
  • USD 399 | 45mm, non-LTE
  • USD 449 | 45mm, LTE

Meanwhile, the Pixel Buds 2a come in two colors: Gray and Iris, and are priced at USD 129 in the US.
