Google plans to add Bluetooth tracker detection features into Android

Apple rolled out its AirTags last year. With its rise in popularity, so are the ongoing concerns of customers about their privacy and security. Google is aiming to address that as well and might soon add Bluetooth tracker detection capabilities to Android.

Apple has made that feature available to Android users last year with the Tracker Detect app. 9to5google has discovered Google’s plan to integrate the said feature into Android by studying the code behind the said app. Unlike Tracker Detect which works manually, the integrated Android feature will work automatically in the background to find trackers using BLE. However, 9to5google said that the feature is still in early development.
