Barely a week after introducing an image generator to its Bard AI Chatbot, Google now streamlines all its AI efforts, including Duet AI and Bard, under one name: Gemini.
It still works the way it used to, but it now uses the more powerful Gemini Pro 1.0 model. The same goes for the AI features integrated within Google Workspace apps.
Google will also release a dedicated Gemini app for Android, which can be set as the default assistant in addition to Google Assistant. As of writing, however, Google Gemini is not yet available in the Philippines.
As for iOS, Gemini is integrated within the Google app, with a toggle between Search and Gemini functionality in the Discover feed.
Alongside this, the search giant also unveils its largest and most powerful language model called Gemini Ultra 1.0, which is only accessible behind a paid subscription.
Gemini Advanced is designed for highly complex tasks. It adds more capable reasoning, high-quality coding in many programming languages, and “creative collaboration,” as Google worded it. Gemini Advanced features will also come to Google Workspace soon.
This new subscription tier is added to Google One plans, priced at PHP 1,100 per month with 2TB of Google Drive storage included. This is double the price of the 2TB Google One plan, which costs PHP 479 per month.
Users can access the standard Google Gemini free of charge through its website gemini.google.com 119.
