Home Credit Philippines has announced that it will now start issuing credit cards.

This is to give their customers more options and convenience. Recently, the consumer finance provider has been officially granted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) a certificate of authority to issue credit cards. The company touts to be the first non-bank financial institution to have a credit card certification by the BSP.

Applying for the said credit card is similar to the application process of the company’s consumer loans. The Home Credit credit card features a loyalty program that entitles the holder to earn cash back for transactions and get freebies and discounts from partner merchants. On top of that, the card also offers 0% interest installment and can also convert straight transactions to installment plans at low-interest rates. For security, features such as EMV Chip, PIN notifications, 3D Secure, and SMS notifications are included.

Home Credit has started rolling out their credit card to its customer base and is expected to have more clients this year.

actually kme di na nmn ginamit at all. Una palng pinahirapan na kame sa pgkuha ng pin. Nakakailang tawag na kame and load pRa lng twagan ang hotline as in tlgng many times na. Up until sa dulo wla ng nagsslta. Kya pinapatay na namn. May problem daw sa pgkuha ng pin. Kya di na namn pinursue gmitin. Hindi din wise ispend dahil malaki interest.

Maam @Shienalyn, gnun po tlga kpag wla po kayo narinig na nagsalit for 5 seconds. lagay nyo na po ung pin na gusto nyo. tpos po wait po kayo ng 3 secs lagay nyo po ulit ung pin for confirmation po. tpos po after nun meron na po kayo marereceive na txt ng HC na na set nyo na po ung PIN nyo. :)

Nagamit ko na CC ko sa supermarket, SM at online payment ng meralco. Naka withdraw din ako jg cash. Sa pagbili gamit ang card wala interest basta bayaran within 45 days. Sa cash na nawithdraw sa atm at may 400 pesos na charge kung 10,000 pababa (fixed 400 kahit 100 lang withdraw mo) at 4% interest kung lampas ng 10k. Kada gamit mo ng card may text message ka agad matatanggap halos wala pa 5 mins may text na. Pag nagbayad ka sa 7/11 o cebuana may text message din agad kaya kita mo agad napost ang payment mo. May cashback pa kaya halos nababalewala din yung monthly membership fee kadi gaya ko lampas na yung cashback ko kesa sa fee.

NO. Hndi ka po pwede mag apply na wala kang referral from HC. Ttawagan ka nila email or text if eligible ka then magbibigay sila instructions to apply. As far as I know, hndi ka maapproved pag walang referral from them

Yes, meron akong CC ni Home Credit with 50K credit limit even though meron akong existing Loan sa kanila na mag dudue 5 days following the month of the CC application.

Hi share ko lang din experience ko sa pag gamit ng cc ni home credit, always straight payment sya pagdating sa counter, no need ng tumawag sa hotline nila pag mag pupurchase kau, sa netflix din pala yan ginamit ko pambayad monthly…. if gustu nyu installment once n ma post sa app ung pinurchase nyu pwede n kau mag call s hotline nila for installment nagamit ko na sya sa shoe salon trinoma, puregold at savemore pang grocery wala nman ako naging problem sa pag swipe… After 24hrs sya ma popost s app kaya the next day ako tumatawag para s installment .. and everytime mo syang gagamitin magttxt sau home credit notifs na ginamit ang iyong cc.

No need n po tumawag sa hotline nila, straight payment po talaga then sa app nila sa celpon mo antayin once n ma post n po iyon dun sa app pwede kna tumawag s hotline nila for installment.. ganun lang lagi ginagawa ko… Ok nman sya para sken ahh

For cash advance, it’s only a one-time payment.. NO INSTALLMENT FOR CASH ADVANCE.. and the interest, daily from the date of Cash Advance transaction or 700 per month whichever is higher. I advice not to cash advance with home credit card.. :)

Madalas declined ang aking Home Credit credit for reasons i don’t know. Siguro hindi pa kaya ng system nila ang credit card business. Buti na lang may iba pa akong card. Sometimes cash na lang binabayad ko, or else nakakahiya. Very embarrasing lalo na’t napapatingin mga tao. I have 3 other credit cards and never kong maranasan ang ma-decline. To the management, please look into this problem. Ang alam ko, VISA and MASTERCARD never goes offline.

Hi! Have you created your PIN thru customer hotline? If yes, there should be a no problem.

The first time I tried to use my hc credit card is at Lander Superstore. Ayaw niya gumana sa terminal ng Landers pero yung ibang credit cards walang problema. Nakakahiya lang dahil umabot pa ako sa point na pinakausap ko sa customer service agent yung OIC ng Landers just to prove na may error yung card or ayaw talaga gumana. Gusto ko na nga rin isoli yung card kasi useless lang siya sa totoo lang lalo na kung may ibang cc option ka naman.

Anyway, good thing after a week, nag test ako kung pwede siya sa cash advance, Eastwest bank yung ATM, ayun. Gumana naman.

I also used it at SM Supermarket and Department Store. It also works. Yun nga lang, straight payment always.

After that, I never try to use it again. Bukod sa cash advance fee na 400 pesos, kahit due date mo palang to pay your cash advance on time, may interest on top of the amount na agad.. Hindi siya nakakatulong honestly. But maybe if emergency cases, baka sakali makatulong.

Hi! I have a home credit credit card since December 2018. It has 45k credit limit with available 20k cash advance.

Pros:
* easy approval (btw, I received an offer from the Home Credit)
* with high credit limit
* fast delivery
* visa type (it can be use abroad as they say)
* always informing you thru SMS everytime there is a transaction from your card

cons:
* can’t avail the 0% interest when shopping and buying groceries etc.
* can’t be used in other superstore like Lander’s and S&R
* straight payment when you avail cash advance
* high interest rate compared with other banks
* merchants/partner store is not yet established (as per agents)

Still, like any other credit cards, just use this card wisely and appropriately to avoid having a huge debts in the end.

Hi miss noreen! HC’s offering me a CC with 50k credit limit, I am hesitant to get the offer upon reading your comment. What I wanted sana po, is a card to use for any transactions. But I have the fear na parang useless din sya, if ever na magtransact ako uli sa kanila baka normal gadget loan na lang uli. But then, I’m thinking there’s no harm done if I’ll try. Apologies for the late response. Anyway, just for the experience, you can use your card for groceries but I think it’s better to pay in cash rather than using the HC credit card because you have to pay straight or else, you’ll be dead..lol BUT, they are offering an installment basis naman BUT don’t be surprise na when it rocketed to the highest level of interest..

In terms of cash advance, I used it twice..hehe and the interest really pissed me off kaso walang ibang choice kasi pera yun e.. So, ayun nga, when you withdraw cash, there is a fixed amount of Php400.00 for the transaction fee. Aside from the Php400.00, there is interest to pay: from the day of your CUTOFF date up to the date when you pay your cash advance.. (i.e. your cutoff date is 17th of the month and your DUE DATE is on 3rd of next month, and then you cash advance on 4th of the month, then you pay your cash advance on 28th before the due date. STILL, EVEN IF YOU PAY ON TIME BEFORE THE DUE DATE ENDS, THERE’S ALREADY AN INTEREST ON TOP. Their computation for the hidden interest is from the CUTOFF date up to the day that you have paid your cash advance. Kahit pa hindi pa dumadating yung due date at nagbayad ka na, may interest parin dahil ang explanation nila “lagpas na ng cutoff date” and that is so so weird. Hindi ka pa lagpas ng DUE DATE may interest na. How much more kung lumagpas ka pa? Mind blowing, isn’t it?

Ang bottom line lang nun is, BEFORE CUTOFF DATE DAPAT BAYAD KA NA SA CASH ADVANCE KAHIT NA HINDI PA DUE DATE because of the interest. At paglumagpas ka ng due date, mas masakit siguro ang magiging interest noon. Kaya never to cash advance with that goddamn card.. lakas makademonyo ng CA offer nila pero dedemonyohin ka rin ng agent kakatawag kahit na 1 week before pa due date mo..haha

Now, it’s up to you when will you use that card. For me, Home Credit is only advisable for gadget loans with 0% interest than use its credit card offer because of those hidden charges. We don’t like hidden charges, diba?

So ayun, if emergency case na, and no choice ka na talaga kundi yung HC Credit Card, baka sakaling makatulong kung gagamitin..:)

PS. Just keep your card on your wallet just in case. :))

Bago lang ako sa HC at karrating lang ng card ko. Available credit limit ko ngayon ay 10k nalang dahil nagamit sa pag purchase ng cellphone yung 6,990. Kaso, cash advance limit ko ay zero pa rin. Bat ganun? Kelan magkakalaman yung cash advance limit ko?

Hindi ikaw and mag apply. They will call or text you if you are eligible to get a CC. So if wala kang referral hndi ka pwede mag apply. Mostly and nkakakuha eh ung my good credit standing sknila, good payer sa mga loans na nakuha from them.

I am very disappointed with Home Credit. I called the hotline to activate my Early Full Payment and was advised to make a payment before the due date so nagbayad naman ako before the due date. So ano ginawa nila? Ginawa nila as regular payment. I called multiple times about my concerns and until now di pa sya naresolved. Lagi sabi may tatawag daw from RIGHT DEPT within 24 hrs. Tangina! 1 week na wala pang tawag. Ang daming rason wala namang solution! I won’t apply to their loan anymore! Puta! On time ako nagbabayad eto pa ginawa nila sa akin! Please wag na kayo magbalak mag HOME CREDIT!!!!!

Kumuha din po kami last September ng Huawei phone worth 15k, nagdown ng 5k and ung 10k na balance naging 2133/month for 6months. Nasa 2700 ung interest. May mga items cguro na available for 0% interest at meron ding hindi.

Hi yung 0% interest namin ay sa piling items lang mostly siya 9k pataas na gadgets. Sa mga appliances more on last payment waving promo and pwede naman kayo magtanong sa store kung anung promo ang nakaavail sa item na gusto niyo. there was this 5000 phone, and i asked how much if i do installment on it via Home Credit… it ended up with a total payment of 7000 =P (i did not bought the phone, i just wanted to know how much interest home credit puts on item/s)

Since installment would be 0%, i guess their old “installment scheme” would be applied on “straight to installment” =)
