HONOR MagicPad 2 unveiled in China

As mentioned in a previous article, the HONOR MagicPad 2 was unveiled today in China as their newest premium tablet.

The tablet sports a 12.3-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. It has a high resolution of 3000 by 1920 and 1,600 nits of peak brightness.

Powering the new MagicPad 2 is a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. This comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. Optics consist of a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 9-megapixel shooter at the front.

It also carries a massive 10,050mAh battery that supports 66W of wired fast charging. Despite this, the HONOR MagicPad 2 has an ultra slim 5.8mm body.

The tablet is skinned with MagicOS 8.0.1 based on Android 14 out of the box. I should also mention that the tablet only offers Wi-Fi for connectivity, so it raises questions concerning its 5G support. This suggests another variation of the tablet is on the way.

The HONOR MagicPad 2 also offers a suite of AI features. Users can enjoy voiceprint noise reduction, multi-person conference to text conversion, etc.

Other features include Bluetooth 5.3, HONOR Magic Pencil 3 support, three microphones, and spatial audio via eight speakers.

Pre-orders for the MagicPad 2 begin on July 19th, 2024 in China. It’s available in Moon Shadow White, Starry Black, and Sky Blue colorways.

The MagicPad 2 is available in four storage configurations. The lowest is 8GB+256GB for CNY 2,999 (~PHP 24K), while the highest is 16GB+1TB for CNY 4,199 (~PHP 33.7K).

Readers may also opt for either 12GB+256GB for CNY 3,299 (~PHP 26K) or 16GB+512GB for CNY 3,699 (~PHP 30K).
