During the launch, Huawei also introduced HUAWEI FreeBuds Studio, the company’s first over-ear noise-canceling headphones, and PORSCHE DESIGN Huawei Watch GT 2, and announced the global availability of the HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II smart glasses and HUAWEI Sound wireless Hi-Fi speakers.
The HUAWEI FreeBuds Studio is equipped with omnidirectional 8 microphones (four on each side) for better noise cancellation. It is designed with TAT Acoustic architecture that brings a comfortable wearing experience by balancing air pressure between the user’s ears and filters out medium and high-frequency noise. It has touch controls, smart multi-scene perception system that automatically adjusts the cancellation mode in different environments, Awareness Mode for hearing ambient sound while listening to music, Voice Mode for calls, Gaming Mode for low latency, and Call Noise Cancellation. It supports L2HC audio codec, features dual antennas, auto fast pairing, dual device connection, and quick charging with up to 24 hours of battery life.
Next on the list is the Huawei Sound, wireless 4-acoustic speakers co-engineered with Devialet. It features the same design as the Huawei Sound X. It features Devialet’s Speaker Active Matching (SAM) technology which tailors the sound signal to match the speaker for music. It has three high-end tweeters, two subwoofers, and Devialet SPACE Soundstage that delivers a surround sound experience. To make it more flexible, it can transmit audio via Bluetooth, UPnP, and AUX-input. Huawei Sound also comes with Hi-Res audio certification.
Meanwhile, the Porsche Design Huawei GT 2 watch bears the same features as the regular GT 2 with Porsche branding. It comes with Porsche watch faces, sapphire glass, titanium body, and ceramic case. The smartwatches are lightweight and anti-corrossive. It also comes with continuous SPO2 monitoring for tracking blood oxygen levels.
Last on the list is the Gentle Monster x Huawei Eyewear II smart glasses which are made with high-end titanium alloy hinges and an arced design for a snug fit. It comes in four designs: Kubo, Myma, Havana, and Lang. On its left side lies the semi-open speaker system which consists of a 128mm diaphragm, a new acoustic system for ensuring private conversations, and touch controls. Among its new features include Greetings, Adaptive playback control, for resuming music playback when it is taken off or put back on within 3 minutes, and Bluetooth 5.2 support. It also pairs up with a device when the users wear smart glasses and minimize latency between audio and video. It comes with a charging case with NFC that delivers wireless fast charging. The Gentle Monster x Huawei Eyewear II smart glasses can last up to 5 hours.
