Huawei Launches Vision Smart Screen 5 SE with 240Hz Mini LED Display and HarmonyOS AI Features

Huawei has unveiled its latest smart TV lineup in China—the Vision Smart Screen 5 SE—available in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch models. This series combines high-end Mini LED display technology with HarmonyOS-powered AI features, offering a premium viewing experience at competitive prices.

Display and Performance

Each model features a 4K Ultra HD Mini LED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals ideal for fast-paced content. The display achieves a peak brightness of 1000 nits and a dynamic contrast ratio of 125,000:1. Huawei’s proprietary Honghu chipset powers the TVs, providing 20-bit precision light control, MEMC motion compensation, HDR enhancement, and dual noise reduction with super-resolution technology. The screens cover 130% of the BT.709 color gamut and undergo factory gamma calibration for accurate color reproduction.

The Vision Smart Screen 5 SE boasts a high-strength unibody metal frame with a 98% screen-to-body ratio, offering an immersive, near bezel-less viewing experience. Advanced local dimming algorithms enhance brightness management and color consistency across the display.

Smart Features and Connectivity

Running on HarmonyOS, the TVs come equipped with a new-generation HD AI camera featuring an f/2.0 aperture. This camera supports video calls, remote home monitoring, posture detection, and AI-powered body motion recognition for gesture-based gaming. Additional smart features include quick AI search for content, interactive educational apps, karaoke modes, and customizable photo walls.

The TVs support 4K Super Casting and Tap-to-Cast, enabling users to project content from platforms like Tencent Video, Bilibili, Youku, and iQIYI without launching the respective apps. The larger models feature a 2.1-channel sound system, delivering bass down to 65Hz. Huawei’s voice optimization technology enhances vocal clarity, and virtual surround sound expansion creates a more immersive audio experience.

The Huawei Vision Smart Screen 5 SE is currently available for pre-sale in China. Pricing is as follows:

• 55-inch model: ¥2,599 (approximately PHP 20,800)

• 65-inch model: ¥2,999 (approximately PHP 24,000)

• 75-inch model: ¥3,999 (approximately PHP 32,000)

Official sales are set to begin on May 8 at 10:08 AM.
