Instagram launches Twitter competitor application

A new challenger enters to rival Twitter as Instagram’s newest application Threads is seen in the App Store and Google Play Store.

Threads is an upcoming social media application under Instagram. It is said to be IG’s text-based conversation app where users may follow other creators and things they enjoy.

Both the App Store and Google Play Store have the app listed in their stores. Users can also head here to see the website of Threads.

With Twitter’s recent update of blocking unregistered users from viewing tweets and having temporary rate limits, the blue bird app has been under fire by its community. Twitter CEO Elon Musk’s response to the potential social media rival is that he points out that Threads collects an amount of data from a user.

Threads will be officially released on July 6, or the 7th for us here in the Philippines.
