After the much-awaited announcement of Apple’s new iPhone 14 yesterday, they’ve finally announced that iOS is set to be ready for download this September 12, 2022.
iOS 16 was first announced last June 6, 2022 during Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2022, and its public beta was announced last July 2022.

Some of the notable updates from IOS are of course the lock screen where users now have the ability to add widgets, more customizations, and a new way to show notifications. Another set of big updates is that users can now edit and unsent messages, the news iCloud Shared Photo Library in which a group of up to 5 people can share their photos, and the use of Live Text which lets users pull text from videos and photos and other new abilities added to it.
The release of iOS 16 this September 12 is very timely to the official announcement and release of iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.
