iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus launched

Apple has unveiled the latest iPhone 16 Series, which include the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus 54.

The new iPhones now have a customizable action button. Plus, it also has a new Camera Control button that responds to gestures.

The iPhone 16 has a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Plus has a 6.7-inch display. Both devices have a refresh rate of 60Hz. However, there’s a noticeable change with thinner bezels.

Notably, Apple has provided a camera layout change for the iPhone 16 Series reminiscent of older models. Returning features consist of the devices charging via USB Type-C and Apple’s Dynamic Island.

For optics, the iPhone 16 Series uses a dual-rear camera setup. The main camera is a 48-megapixel sensor paired with an ultrawide. The latter sensor has a brighter f/2.2 aperture and autofocus to work as a macro camera as well.

This line will also feature the highly-anticipated Apple Intelligence that comes with iOS 18. This is leveraged by their newest A18 processor, which is a 3nm chip that has a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU. It has a 16-core neural engine as well to help boost performance by 30 percent.

The iPhone 16 Series starts at a base storage size of 128GB. It’s priced at USD 799 (~PHP 45K) for the base model and USD 899 (~PHP 51K) for the iPhone 16 Plus.
