The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has approved the Php1 fare hike in Public Utility Jeepneys for Regions 3, 4, and National Capital Region (NCR).
The announcement came at a time when transport groups are on strike to protest the government’s planned jeepney phaseout. The Php1 fare hike in the said regions will be implemented on February 8, 2017, Wednesday.
