LTFRB orders Arcade City to cease and desist

Listen to article

The Land Transportation Franchising & Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has ordered ridesharing platform Arcade City to cease and desist from launching its mobile app which is scheduled for next week.

This is not the first time though, on August 17, 2017, the LTFRB issued an Advisory against Arcade City, ordering it to cease operations as it was operating as another form of Transportation Networking Company (TNC) without coordinating with the agency.

The LTFRB is again warning Arcade City to cease and desist from launching its mobile app on April 16, 2018, and to stop all bookings made with application/platform as those who are operating will be considered colorum.

The LTFRB plans to take legal actions if Arcade City pushes through with its launch.
