Listen to article

MediaTek is unveiling new Dimensity chips in China on December 23. The company said that they’re slated to introduce the “new generation of Dimensity chips” soon via a Weibo post.

While the company did not reveal the chipset names, one of them is expected to be the Dimensity 8400. This was also supported by known tipster Digital Chat Station.

He says that this would be a 4nm chip that uses an Immortalis-G720 MC7 GPU. He also added that this chip has a score of over 1.8 million in AnTuTu benchmarks.

At the time of writing, it’s currently speculated that the upcoming Redmi Turbo 4 will be equipped with this chipset. Of course, we’re taking this we’re a grain of salt as this is a developing story.

We’ll update the readers next week once the chipset has officially debuted. What do you guys think of the upcoming new Dimensity chips?
