Motorola is the latest brand to join the ultra-thin smartphone trend, teasing the upcoming Moto X70 Air ahead of its official debut later this October. The teaser image highlights the device’s slim profile, putting it in direct competition with other “Air” and slim-themed handsets like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, iPhone Air, and TECNO Spark Slim.

Rumors suggest the Moto X70 Air will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, with Motorola confirmed as one of the chipmaker’s launch partners. While further details remain scarce, the X series is typically exclusive to China, meaning global markets may instead see the device arrive under the Motorola Edge 70 branding.

A recent leak for the Edge 70 carried the tagline “incredibly thin and incredibly tough”, hinting that the same philosophy may carry over to the Moto X70 Air.
