Smart once again emerged as the fastest mobile operator in the Philippines, according to Ookla.
During Q3 2023, Smart achieved the fastest median download speed of 35.56 Mbps, showing a slight improvement compared to the previous quarter.
Meanwhile, Globe and DITO maintained their speeds at 22.42 Mbps and 19.53 Mbps, respectively.
Apple devices continued to dominate in terms of median download speeds, reaching 47.10 Mbps, followed by Samsung at 33.77 Mbps and Xiaomi at 29.18 Mbps.
Ookla September 2023: PH internet at 26.36 Mbps (mobile), 83.09 Mbps (broadband)
The fixed broadband speeds in the country experienced a significant dip in September 2023, dropping to 83.09 Mbps compared to the previous month’s 88.81 Mbps.
On the other hand, there was a slight improvement in mobile speeds, which increased from 25.47 Mbps to 26.36 Mbps.
