PSA introduces online access for birth, marriage, and death certificates

Listen to article

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has launched a new online service that gives Filipinos a faster and more convenient way to access their civil registry documents. With this feature, individuals can now securely view PSA-issued certificates shortly after making a request, eliminating the need to book an appointment.

This service covers key documents such as birth, marriage, and death certificates, along with the Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) and the Certificate of No Death (CENODEATH). Fees are set at Php130 each for birth, marriage, and death certificates, while both the CENOMAR and CENODEATH cost Php185.

Interested applicants can make their requests through the official PSA Serbilis website. Once the request is processed, a unique reference code is issued. This code is crucial, as it allows the user to securely view their certificate online.

To complement the digital option, PSA also introduced a service called DocPrint. Through DocPrint, users can have their requested documents printed at any designated Civil Registry System outlet by presenting their access code.

According to the agency, these services are part of the second phase of its Civil Registry System Information Technology Project (CRS-ITP2), which aims to harness modern technology to make government services more efficient and accessible for all Filipinos. By rolling out these innovations, PSA is pushing to make vital records easier to access while cutting down on the time and effort required from the public.
