The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has posted a notice that public hearing for the Implementing Rules and Regulations for the SIM Registration Act.

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has posted a notice that public hearing for the Implementing Rules and Regulations for the SIM Registration Act. This will happen on December 5 at 2PM via Zoom (details to be posted on the NTC website soon).

The hearing is open to the public and affected/interested parties to thresh out the details for the rules and implementation of the newly enacted law. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their position paper to the NTC before November 30.

With this new law, SIM users will need to register their numbers to PTEs within 180 days (6 months) of the law. More FAQ of the law here.
