Xiaomi has officially launched its latest budget-entry offering, the Redmi 12 5G. It equips the new Snapdragon 4 Gen2 chipset that runs on a flagship-level 4nm process. In addition to offering faster 5G speeds and improved battery life, it also promises lower latency for an even smoother user experience.
For its display, it sports a 6.79-inch Full HD+ display with 90Hz adaptive refresh rate. Flipping onto its rear, protrudes a dual camera setup with 50-megapixel main lens. The back panel feature a ‘crystal glass design’ with a reflective gradient finish. It is complemented with a sleek, flat frame.
The handset runs on the latest Android 13-based MIUI 14. It packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W charging, though the charging brick included is 22.5W. It even has an IP53 rating for added protection against splashes and dust.
Xiaomi promises two years of Android updates and three years of security updates for this device.
