Ricoh GR IV Launched in PH

Listen to article

Ricoh just dropped the GR IV in the Philippines, the brand’s latest pocket powerhouse that takes the iconic GR line even further. Dubbed as the “ultimate snap shooter”, the GR IV promises portability, speed, and pro-grade image quality for street and travel photographers.

Compared to the GR III, the new GR IV packs a 25.7MP APS-C BSI CMOS sensor with the GR Engine 7 for cleaner low-light shots and an expanded ISO range of 100–204,800. You’re also getting a new 28mm f/2.8 equivalent lens built with aspherical, high-refractive, and low-dispersion elements, giving edge-to-edge sharpness while slimming the camera down to just 262g.

One of the biggest upgrades is the 5-axis, 6-stop in-body image stabilization (IBIS), up from the 3-axis on the GR III. Autofocus also gets faster thanks to improved face detection and subject tracking, with Ricoh’s signature Full Press Snap feature still on board.

Other neat features include 53GB of built-in storage (in case you forget your microSD), built-in 2-stop ND filter, macro shooting down to 2.4 inches, a 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD, and a new DB-120 battery rated for 250 shots. Video tops out at 1080p 60fps, still not 4K, but clearly, Ricoh wants this to be a shooter’s camera.

Where to get your Ricoh GR IV

The Ricoh GR IV is priced at Php 88,777 and it’s available for pre-order from August 29 to September 15, 2025 via Camerahaus, Henry’s Professional, and other official Ricoh distributors. If you’re a street shooter or someone who just wants DSLR-level IQ in your pocket, the Ricoh GR IV might just be the most tempting snap cam you’ll see this year.
