Samsung has just announced three new monitors in their lineup, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8, Smart Monitor M8, and the Samsung S8. All of these monitors will be featured in their lineup for CES 2022.
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 is a 32-inch display featuring 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. It also features a 1000R curvature and Quantum Mini LED backlighting. The monitor also has HDR 2000, with a peak brightness of 2000 nits.
It features dual HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, and customizable RGB.
The Smart Monitor M8 is a 32-inch display with 4K resolution. It features pre-installed streaming apps so users can also use it as a TV for streaming content.
It has a dedicated video camera that can be attached with magnets on top of the screen for video calls and conferences. The monitor is also capable of controlling other Samsung IoT devices.
The Samsung S8 meanwhile is a monitor designed for content creation. It is a 32-inch display with UHD resolution and is what Samsung says, the world’s first monitor that has been certified as glare-free by Underwriters Laboratories.
It features 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR 600 certification, wired LAN support. It’s USB Type-C connection can be connected to laptops for both audio and video signals as well as Ethernet data. The connection also offers 90W of power that can be delivered from the monitor to the laptop.
The new monitors are slated to launch in the first half of 2022, so stay tuned for updates.
