Sony Alpha 7 IV priced in the Philippines

Sony Philippines has announced the price and pre-order availability of its latest full-frame camera, the Sony Alpha 7 IV.

This full-frame camera sports the latest BIONZ XR processing engine, 33MP image resolution, full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor, 15-stop dynamic range (ISO 50-204,800), and 4K 60p video recording. It also features a 759 phase-detection auto-focus that boasts improved face and eye detection accuracy by approximately 30% compared to the Alpha 7 III, and touts “uninterrupted continuous shooting” with up to 10fps2 with AF/AE tracking.

Other features include a 5-axis optical in-body image stabilizer and dual-layer mode dial (Still/Movie/S&Q and Auto/P/A/S/M and MR). As for hardware, the Sony Alpha 7 IV features a magnesium alloy camera body, approx. 3.68 million-dot OLED Quad-VGA viewfinder (1.6x higher than the Alpha 7 III), 3-inch side-opening vari-angle touch-panel rear LCD monitor, and Z-series battery. For connectivity, it offers 5GHz/2.4.GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities.

For video recording resolutions and frame rate, it features a 4K 60p recording (Super 35mm mode) and 4K 30p recording 7K oversampling (full-frame mode). Furthermore, it boasts a 10-bit depth 4:2:2 color sampling and encoding file formats of XAVC S-I intra-frame and HS H.265 long-GOP. The latter allows for streamlined editing workflows and enhanced compression.

The Sony Alpha 7 IV is now available for pre-order until December 5 at Sony Centre or Authorized Camera Dealers nationwide, as well as Lazada and Shopee →. It is priced at PHP 149,999 for the body only and PHP 159,999 for the kit package. It also comes with a promo bundle of the 64GB Tough SD Card, extra NP-FZ100 battery, and a Sony Alpha Peak Design Cuff.

During the pre-order period, you also get additional promo combos of PHP 10,000 discount on select Sony G Master Lenses and PHP 4,000 discount on select Sony flashes on top of the current promotion.
