Sony opens invite-only pre-order for PS5

Sony has announced that the PlayStation 5 (PS5) console is up for pre-order, however, you have to be invited first.

According to Sony, only a limited quantity of PS5 consoles are available for pre-order, so they only invited some of their existing consumers to be one of the first to pre-order a unit. Sony says that the selection is based on “previous interests and PlayStation activities.”

If you’re selected, Sony will contact you via email before pre-orders start. However, receiving an invitation doesn’t guarantee that you will be able to pre-order a PS5. Sony says that each invitation is open for a limited time and quantities are limited per PSN ID per transaction:

1x PS5 Console or 1 PS5 Digital Edition
2x DualSense wireless controllers
2x DualSense charging stations
2x Pulse 3D wireless headsets
2x Media remotes
2x HD Cameras

Pre-order reservations will be taken on a first-come-first-serve basis.

So, if you didn’t receive an email, sorry guys, you’ll just have to wait.
