Speedtest Global Index Philippines: April 2018

Ookla has released their Speedtest Global Index for April 2018, comparing the internet speed data from around the world, including the Philippines.

For Mobile, the Philippines now has an average speed of 14.01 Mbps download and 5.99 Mbps upload (vs 13.52 Mbps download and 5.88 Mbps upload for March 2018). For Fixed Broadband, we have an average of 17.62 Mbps download and 15.27 Mbps upload (vs 17.32 Mbps download and 14.95 Mbps upload for March 2018).

Given the new data, the Philippines now has a Global Rank of 96 for Mobile and 83 for Fixed Broadband.

Global Average speed for Mobile is 22.61 Mbps download and 9.10 Mbps upload, while Fixed Broadband is 45.07 Mbps download and 21.93 Mbps upload.

    I’m sure super proud na ang mga local telcos nyan LOLS as if mga executives nila hindi pa nakakapunta sa South Korea sa yaman nilang yan ? pano kasi kumikita naman silang billiones sa sub standard na service nila. #reality
