Google AI Mode rolls out globally, now in the Philippines

Listen to article

It has been a subtle change, but Google AI Mode has been added as part of Search. The new tab offers agentic features and is now available in more than 180 countries and territories, including the Philippines.

This feature was only previously available in India, US, and the UK. It offers AI-powered search results with advanced personalization, allowing for more nuanced, complex questions.

As per their article, Google said that it should help users get more tailored information. Not only that, it lets users perform actions directly from Search itself.

For example, users can book restaurant reservations with plans to add service appointments and event ticket purchases soon. This feature uses live web browsing from Google Maps, Knowledge Graph, and Project Mariner.

It also uses direct partner integrations to deliver results. At the time of writing, Google is working with platforms like OpenTable, StubHub, and Ticketmaster for booking and ticketing options.

The company said AI Mode is designed to handle complex queries while maintaining access to diverse sources across the web. It is also exploring availability in more languages and regions.
