Spotify has announced a new feature called Taste Profile.

Spotify’s Taste Profile feature is designed to give users more control over how the platform personalizes recommendations.
Unveiled during SXSW by Spotify Co-CEO Gustav Söderström, the feature lets users see how Spotify interprets their listening habits and adjust it directly.
Taste Profile combines listening activity across music, podcasts and audiobooks to show preferred artists, genres and listening patterns.
Users can also flag recommendations that do not match their preferences. This lets them request more or less of certain styles or moods.
Spotify says this helps refine what appears on the homepage and improves future recommendations.
The feature also takes note of daily habits or current interests like workout music or commuting podcasts.
Taste Profile will begin rolling out as a beta feature for Premium users in New Zealand in the coming weeks.
