Starlink Roam Plan now with In-Motion use, International and Coastal at Php4,107

Today, we received an email from Starlink 17 that they are updating their monthly service fee for their Mobile-Regional from Php3,300 per month to Php 4,107 per month (Roam Unlimited).

Originally, our Starlink Mobile-Regional plan allows us to bring the satellite dish anywhere in the Philippines and use it where ever we like. This is a great option from the base Residential Plan of Php2,700 which is only applicable to a specific location (meaning: fixed address).

This is very useful to us because we can use the Starlink service as back-up internet in several residential locations we have in Metro Manila, including our studio office. Likewise, we are able to bring with us the satellite whenever we have an out of town vacation or team building within Luzon.

Thank you for being a Starlink customer. We are making changes to your service plan and price in order to deliver an improved Starlink experience.

Effective immediately, you will have access to the following features with Starlink Roam:

* In-Motion Use
* International Travel
* Coastal Coverage

To support these enhancements and our ongoing network improvements, your monthly service price for Starlink Roam will be ₱4,107. The updated monthly price and new Terms of Service will go into effect starting 10/10/2024.

This used to be part of the Starlink RV 13 plan, which has an MSF of $150 for regional and $200 for global but you will need to buy the in-motion dish at $2,500.

The new service plan, Roam Unlimited, now adds the following benefits:

• International Use. Take the Starlink dish and router anywhere around the world where there is coverage (vs. single country use before).
• Land Mobility. Be able to use Starlink service even when In-Motion (inside your vehicle while you are on a road trip) which is best for RV types of vehicles.
• Coastal Coverage. Our understanding is you can use this along bodies of water, like seas or lakes, but is limited to surrounding coastal area and not really in the middle of the sea or ocean (which is covered by a different plan).

The new service plan is now priced at Php 4,107 per month compared to the previous Php 3,300 per month MSF.
