The realme GT 7 Pro 12 made waves with its release in November last year. Now it’s looking like there are rumors of the succeeding realme GT 8 Pro swirling around.
Just to refresh your memory, the GT 7 Pro is the brand’s current flagship device. It features the top-of-the-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 6.78-inch 1.5K Quad-Curved LTPO AMOLED screen with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Photos are then captured by an installed triple rear setup with a 50-megapixel periscope with optical image stabilization, another 50-megapixel as with OIS, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens.

We could go on and on – but the message is clear: this is all top-shelf stuff.
The realme GT 8 Pro is looking to be no different. Rumors are pointing towards the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 under the hood. This wouldn’t be surprising since that would be the strongest smartphone processor (at least by Qualcomm) at the projected time of release. This will surely translate to unparalleled mobile gaming performance, faster loading times, and could even translate to clearer imaging capabilities. That would also come courtesy of a 200-megapixel periscope unit.

The display, meanwhile, could get a bump from a 1.5K to a 2K resolution. We’re not too sure if this would be significant enough to be obvious to the untrained eye, but it’s a welcome addition nonetheless.
Other interesting adds include a metal frame, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 7000 mAh battery capacity. That last one should keep the lights on for even longer (or at least the same time), since it’s a 500 mAh upsize in battery.
