Visa has introduced its new Scan to Pay QR payment system across the Asia Pacific region, aiming to make everyday cashless transactions faster and more convenient for users. The rollout was announced during the Singapore FinTech Festival 2025, held from November 12 to 14.

Scan to Pay is integrated directly into banking apps and digital wallets, allowing customers to pay by simply scanning QR codes at participating merchants instead of using cash or cards. Visa says the system is designed for a mobile-first market, where more people are now using smartphones for shopping, bills, and daily payments.
Visa is working with a range of partners to support the service, including Samsung Wallet across Asia Pacific, LINE Pay in Taiwan, VNPT Money and VNPAY in Vietnam, Woori Card and Hyundai Card in South Korea, Lakala in Mainland China, FOMO Pay in Singapore, NextPay in Vietnam, and OpenRice in Hong Kong.
With Scan to Pay and Visa Pay, the company says it is pushing to expand secure QR payments while giving consumers more flexible ways to pay across borders.
