WhatsApp Reactions now official

As revealed through WABetaInfo last March, WhatsApp has now begun rolling out the WhatsApp Reactions to its users. It is similar to Facebook’s reactions – long-press on a message and selects the emoji that you feel you want to react with.

Although, WhatsApp has hinted at adding support for more emojis and skin tones in the future.

Note that the update may be gradually rolling out and with these types of rollouts, there are chances of a delay. Expect it to be available globally in a week or two.

Additionally, WhatsApp users are now eligible to share larger files on WhatsApp as the threshold has been increased from 100MB to 2GB.

Lastly, the number of allowed maximum number of participants allowed in a group chat has also doubled from 256 to 512 users.
