WhatsApp is testing a new noise cancellation feature for voice and video calls on Android.

The system will filter out all background sounds which will enable users to understand your speech better. This feature proves useful in situations where you need to work in noisier environments, which include crowded spaces, traffic areas, and outdoor areas with strong winds.
Users have the ability to control the feature through the call menu, which they will find activated when they first access it.
The feature is undergoing gradual distribution to beta testers. The feature will become available to all Android users of WhatsApp within several weeks or months if no technical problems arise.
With this update, WhatsApp calls should become clearer and easier to hear, even in noisy environments. The feature is currently in the beta version, so it’s not yet available for everyone.
