Starting today, September 20, students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) can now apply for white Beep cards over-the-counter. Simply go to any LRT-1, LRT-2, or MRT-3 station to get printing done on-the-spot.
This eliminates the need for commuters to wait or register online. The cards also give a previously reported 50% fare discount across the mentioned train lines.
Seniors and PWDs need to present their respective IDs. Meanwhile, students need to bring either a valid school ID or enrolment certificate.
Readers should also take note that applying for the card requires a one-time fee of PHP 30. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment prior to arrival is needed.
The program has officially kicked off today, with onsite printing available from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Starting tomorrow, September 21, applications will be accepted every weekend from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
For weekdays, it will be adjusted to 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Frequent commuters are advised to apply now to avoid long lines in the future.
