Fans of Blizzard’s World of Warcraft will finally get to see their favorite game on the big screen as the long overdue movie “Warcraft” was already given a release date.
The upcoming movie first made noise when it was announced way back in 2006. However, development stopped when supposed to be director, Sam Raimi, left the project due to some issues. Fortunately, Duncan Jones, director of Source Code, took the post and saved the day.

As for the release date, @Warcraft tweeted that Legendary Pictures’ Warcraft will be released by Universal Pictures on December 18, 2015. A two-year wait but should be worth it.

awesome! it should be in imax 3d. i think the closest i’ve seen to a warcraft movie is avatar, it’s like an episode of the battle between night elves and humans/mecha even the yggdrasil/mother tree is depicted there! and the priestesses of the goddess Elune, Eywa nga lang name nung sa avatar. sana lang mast astig pa yung effects, pero sana gayahin nila yung effect sa avatar na yung umiilaw (bioluminescent plants) yung dinadaanan nung heroes sa movie, parang pag nagcocommand lang sa game. \m/
