The Xiaomi Pad 8 has been teased ahead of its official launch this month alongside the Xiaomi 17 series. Xiaomi President Lu Weibing shared a teaser poster of the device, revealing the tablet, a keyboard, and stylus support.
His Weibo post reads that the tablet will have a 11.2-inch display while keeping a slim, lightweight build. It’s also slated to run on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box.
Earlier reports also mention that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 16GB of RAM. This might be true, as the teaser suggests it will pack a high-performing chipset.
For reference, last year’s model had a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 under the hood. In addition, battery capacity is expected to remain at 10,000mAh for the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro.
The difference between the two tablets will be under charging speed. The Pro variant will support 67W of fast charging while the base model is limited to 45W.
More details on the Xiaomi Pad 8 line are to follow, likely during the official launch event later this month.
