Acer Aspire E1 hits the sub-Php20k laptop barrier

Looks like Asus isn’t the only one making decent-looking laptops under the Php20k price category. Acer’s entry in the budget laptop (student laptop) market is the Acer Aspire E1.

Budget laptops take the shape of a regular-sized notebook (the 14-inchers) but with the hardware specs that’s close to the netbook range. Set the price at just under Php20k and you’ve got a budget laptop.

There are two variants of the Aspire E1 — one uses an AMD dual-core processor and the other uses an Intel Core i3 processor (2nd gen, Sandy Bridge).

If you switch the chipset to the Core i3 2.2GHz, the price goes up considerably at Php22,400USD 382INR 32,359EUR 364CNY 2,780. Have Windows 7 pre-installed and you’ll need to add Php2,500USD 43INR 3,612EUR 41CNY 310.
