HTC Flyer lands, priced at Php36,990

Just got a note from a source that the HTC Flyer Android tablet is now available in stores and has a suggested retail price of Php36,990, making it the most expensive Android tablet available locally.

It’s a little curious they did not reveal the HTC Flyer during the launch of the Sensation last week (they’ll probably do a separate event for this one).

HTC Flyer
1.5GHz Qualcomm chip
4,000mAh battery
32GB of internal storage
up to 32Gb via microSD card
1GB of RAM
5MP camera
1.3MP secondary front-facing camera
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA
Bluetooth 3.0
HDMI out
Android 2.3

If you’re looking to get a cheaper HTC Flyer, Top Electronics is selling them for only Php30,000. They also sell the HTC Sensation for Php28,000.

  1. No Honeycomb?!

2 months from now it’s an expensive paper weight.

  2. Wait na lang natin yung mediapad ng huawei. I’m sure mas mura yun at android 3.2 OS.

  3. In other news, Galaxy 10.1 and 8.9 are coming in the Philippines at a higher than the originally reported price of $499 and $449 for 10.1 and 8.9 respectively. Rumors say that the 10 incher will be officially launched here with a higher than Php30k price tag.

Oh, how I wish the rumors will be wrong. =(

  4. off topic: Sir Abe, is Top Electronics still active? I tried contacting with them but no replies yet. :|

  5. wi-fi only? Gingerbread?

    over-priced ito ng 10K.

Asus Transformer pa rin ako or wait ko na lang ang Samsung GT 10.1

  6. I’d rather choose motorola xoom with android 3.0 and a dual core tegra, 29,300 php sa widgetcity.com.ph

  7. iPad 2 is still the best among the rest!!!

  8. Akala ko wala lang akong pera kaya ko naisip na ‘sobrang mahal yata’. Un pala lahat talaga namamahalan.

  9. nde na natuto ang mga non-apple products dito sa Philippines… tubo kung tubo sila… nde bebenta yan sa lagay na you could get an ipad2 from a premium store for 22.5cash…

  10. 30000 lang po sa cmk. But mahal parin compared sa ipad2. Waiting for W8 tablet though.

  11. who, in his right mind, will buy a gingerbread tablet worth 37k?!!!!

    epic fail!

  12. Kasama na ba ballpen that turns your 27k tablet into a Php 20 peso magic slate?

Still, only someone HTC-crazy will get this over the ipad2 or the 7″ Galaxy Tab which is under 21k.

  13. Yes quite an expensive gadget and it may well take HTC a year before this device gets android 3.2 on it. Makes the Acer Iconia A500 look better and better. 32gb for 23.9 k and you can add usb devices to it including hdd drives, usb flah drives, keyboard as well. far better browser compared to ipad too.

  14. htc products are really expensive but it’s worth it naman. been an htc user for a long time now. siguro for this one, overpriced talaga sya. pero kidding aside, lahat ng mga mata ay nasa sayo pag nasa labas ka gamit to kasi you own the most expensive tablet. tatahimik na lang mga ipad owners. haha!

  15. @SUplado , yes pati mata ng holdaper nakatingin sau, lol (peace)

  16. overprice. 499 lang here yan. lakas naman makapatong

  17. @Suplado – Yes.. Overpriced nga ang HTC Flyer pero di yan ang most expensive tablet. Mas mahal pa rin ang iPad 2 WiFi + 3G (64GB) at ₱ 40,990.00

    Just saying.

    • Well with an iPad they can’t even know the version at one glance making HARD to notice the difference between the most expensive to cheapest iPad2.

  18. Sayang, The flyer is being sold sa PC Show sa Singapore for a lot less, including pen and 3G(daw)

    … I should’ve gotten one..

For those who said that Gingerbread here is a huge fail on htc’s part hasn’t tried it firsthand.
