Was checking all the laptop manufacturers if they’ve released their own Intel Core i5 laptops locally (turns out not everyone has). Check out our round-up of officially released Intel Core i5 laptops in the Philippines.
While most of the units are in the 14-inch range, MSI has one at 17.3″ which looks to be geared towards gaming.
Here’s our list (click on the image to view full chart specs):
Some are basic Core i5 builds while others are equipped with more powerful graphics cards for gaming. The prices vary with units ranging from just Php35k going up to Php75k. Acer has the most number of Core i5s while I couldn’t find one by Dell and HP (just updated it with one from Asus).
Hope some of you would find this list helpful.
Hi, Neat post. There’s an issue with your website in web explorer, could test this? IE still is the marketplace leader and a big portion of folks will omit your magnificent writing due to this problem.

Been eyeing the Toshiba satellite E200 for a while now. I am not a gamer but I love downloading, surfing and typing my articles. I really want an i5 with a ram of 4gb at least and HDD of at least 320-500 GB.
Do I really need the Toshiba Satellite E200? What in the list above has the specs I want but cheaper?
HP now has a Core i5 Pavilion out in the market.

Yeah.. the i5 lineup are a lot cheaper compare to the i5 from Sony Vaio.
An example of this is the Sony Vaio E series (VPCEA16FG) which we got for 77k.
@eason – yeah, I knew about the N-series. Have yet to get an SRP for that though. Will update the table once I get them.
There is actually an Acer Aspire 4745G i5 450M that is only selling for P37,999. I just got one in greenhills. Its the 4545G-5452G50mk
Sir Yuga, Asus just released their i5 laptops
The new N series laptops. No news about the price though.
@Yuga I don’t know if other people have noticed this, but I’ve had my Lenovo G450 for around 4 months now and it hasn’t had a single hairline scratch… yet.
Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820TG

Yeah. and I’m always contemplating on the fact that I bought a Core2Duo laptop before these babies showed up.
@jp – actually, I thought these are quite affordable. I bought a Core 2 Duo laptop worth 65k three years ago.
Quite pricey, but then again, they’re Intel :)
