Philips Launches Evnia 27M2N8800: 4K 240Hz QD-OLED Monitor for Gamers and Creators

Philips has introduced its latest flagship gaming monitor, the Evnia 27M2N8800, in the Chinese market. Priced at CNY 6,499 (approximately PHP 51,000), the monitor is now available for purchase via JD.com.

Display and Performance

The Evnia 27M2N8800 features a 26.5-inch 4K QD-OLED panel from Samsung’s third generation, delivering a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. It boasts a 240Hz refresh rate and an ultra-low 0.03ms GTG response time, ensuring smooth and responsive visuals. The monitor is VESA ClearMR 13000 certified, indicating extremely low motion blur.

With HDR True Black 400 certification, the monitor achieves a peak brightness of up to 1000 nits on a 3% window, enhancing highlights and shadow details. It covers 99% of the DCI-P3 gamut, 97.6% Adobe RGB, and 100% sRGB, with factory calibration ensuring Delta E <1 accuracy. The native 10-bit panel provides smoother color transitions, making it suitable for both gaming and content creation.

Design and Ergonomics

The monitor sports a sleek design with a silver armor finish, a white chassis, and a star-patterned rear texture. It includes an ergonomic stand that allows height adjustment, tilt, and swivel. Philips’ Ambiglow technology syncs rear LEDs with on-screen visuals and audio for an immersive experience. Additionally, the monitor is equipped with dual 5W speakers and a five-way joystick for easy navigation.

Connectivity and Features

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports (48Gbps FRL6), a DisplayPort 2.1 (80Gbps UHBR20), USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB upstream connection, and an audio out. The monitor supports picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes, smart crosshair magnification via Smart Sniper, AI-based Stark Shadow Boost for enhancing dark areas, and enhanced low input lag through “Zero Latency Sync.” For eye comfort, it offers both hardware and software-level blue light reduction, flicker-free backlighting, and an Easy Read mode.

With its combination of high-end specifications, advanced features, and thoughtful design, the Philips Evnia 27M2N8800 aims to cater to the needs of serious gamers and content creators alike.

Burn-In Protection and Warranty

To address potential burn-in issues common with OLED displays, Philips has incorporated an AI-based anti-burn-in system that monitors static elements like HUDs and logos in real time. This feature is backed by a 3-year burn-in warranty, offering users peace of mind.
