The Smart Speaker supports consecutive command recognition, allowing users to control multiple smart home devices with a single sentence. For instance, you can simultaneously switch on lights, draw the curtains, and start the robot vacuum. It also supports voice-triggered automation, enabling users to schedule daily routines like cleaning or appliance control with simple voice cues.
An advanced multi-turn dialogue system allows seamless back-and-forth conversations without the need to repeat wake words. The assistant can be interrupted mid-sentence and still respond to new queries naturally. It’s backed by a large language model Q&A engine capable of generating complex answers, assisting with travel plans, content creation, translations, and scientific explanations.
The speaker sports a clean, rounded aesthetic finished in light grey fabric mesh. A dynamic light ring on the top reacts to voice commands and music playback, enhancing user interaction. It houses a 2-inch full-range speaker rated at 8W, paired with a precision low-frequency duct to enhance bass performance.
For connectivity, the Smart Speaker supports Bluetooth 5.3 and dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz). It integrates with Xiaomi Mesh 2.0 and functions as a Bluetooth Mesh gateway, enabling seamless pairing with other Xiaomi smart devices.
Additional smart features include remote control of Xiaomi EVs via voice, allowing users to adjust air conditioning, window positions, and seat heating. The Family Broadcast function enables communication across Xiaomi speakers, TVs, laptops, and phones within the home.
The speaker supports a wide range of content platforms, including QQ Music, NetEase Cloud Music, Ximalaya, Kugou, and Qingting FM, offering access to music, radio, audiobooks, and podcasts.
With its combination of advanced AI features, sleek design, and affordable pricing, Xiaomi’s new Smart Speaker aims to be a compelling addition to smart homes.
