Google has quietly raised the price tag of their YouTube Premium subscription. It has increased by 2 dollars, totaling to USD 13.99.

Users have pointed out that prices for YouTube Premium have increased by USD 2. Though this has not been officially announced by Google, YouTube is charging new subscribers a total of $13.99 per month instead of $10.99. The Premium family plan, however, still has the same price tag of USD22.99/month.

Here in the Philippines, however, this change has yet to be made. The price tag for individual membership per month is still at PHP 159.00.

With the lack of an official announcement, it isn’t certain whether this price increase will affect existing subscribers. When YouTube increased its Premium price last time back in 2018, former subscribers were not charged an additional fee. They continued to pay the original price given to them which was USD9.99 at the time.
We’ll see whether this change of price will affect existing users as well soon.
